Lou was a great guide! Easy to understand and was knowledgeable, she gave a wonderful tour and also allowed for time to explore the gardens and climb the bell tower.

We were on the Giraldatower and Cathedraletour only without Alcazarpalast! We learned a lot about Seville and the history of all the places and buildings. Also many insidespots were very interesting to listen. We were lucky to get MARIA as our guide! She was so friendly and helpful in explaining and as well as also knowing every detail we explored during this 1.45h tour👏👏 Thanks again Roland/Theresia

Excellent and thorough tour — our guide Maria was wonderful! We were getting a little tired toward the end (we’re all in our mid-60s) but it was a very educational experience!

Our Seville Alcázar, Cathedral and Giralda skip-the-line tour with Lou was outstanding. The buildings are truly magnificent, and Lou’s exceptional knowledge brought their history, architecture and fascinating details to life. The tour moved at an excellent pace—efficient without ever feeling rushed—and she kept everything engaging throughout. We also climbed the bell tower and had free time to explore the beautiful Alcázar gardens at our own pace. Lou also navigated the crowds brilliantly, even with cruise-ship visitors adding congestion, ensuring we saw the key highlights with minimal delay. A superb experience and an absolute must in Seville. Highly recommended!

A tour of 8 people, not 40

Seville is full of walking tours, and most of them are free to join. That model has consequences you only discover once you are already standing in the group.

A tip-based walking tour

  • Thirty to forty people behind one guide
  • What you pay is decided at the end, in front of everyone
  • The guide’s income depends on your tip
  • Other tours and extras are offered along the way
  • Hearing the guide depends where you are standing
  • Asking a question means getting close enough first

This tour

  • Eight people maximum — a hard limit, not a target
  • €20.70 settled when you book, nothing to decide later
  • Your guide is paid by us, in advance
  • Nothing is sold to you at any point
  • Everyone hears everything, all the time
  • Ask as many questions as you like

What you’ll see

Two hours through the monumental centre as the light goes — from the Alcázar walls down to the Guadalquivir and on to Plaza de España, floodlit by the time we reach it. Never more than eight people, and the story behind every stone.

Seville Cathedral and the Giralda from outside

The great monuments, from outside

The walls and gates of the Royal Alcázar, the façades of Seville Cathedral and the iconic Giralda — their history explained from the best viewpoints.

Torre del Oro & River

Guadalquivir river, the soul of Seville: Colourful riverside houses, Golden Tower, Triana Bridge and breathtaking sunsets over the River.

Plaza de España and the Guadalquivir riverfront, Seville

Golden-hour walking tour — frequently asked questions

What does this walking tour include?

Two hours on foot with an official local guide through Seville’s monumental centre: the Alcázar, the Cathedral and the Giralda from the outside, the Guadalquivir riverfront and Plaza de España. No entrance tickets are included — it is an exterior tour, which is why it works even when the monuments are sold out.

Do we go inside the monuments?

No. You will stand at the Alcázar walls and below the Giralda, and your guide will tell you what to look for when you do go in — but this tour does not enter any monument. If you want to go inside, our Alcázar, Cathedral and Giralda tours are the ones to book, and we take you in ourselves.

What time does it start, and how long is it?

We start at 17:30 Monday to Saturday and at 17:00 on Sundays, and the walk lasts two hours. The hour is deliberate: through the winter the sun sets while we are walking, so you see the monuments in the last daylight, through the blue hour, and then floodlit.

How many people will be in the group?

Eight at most, and usually fewer. That is a hard limit, not a target: once eight places are booked, nobody else can join — not even at the meeting point. Eight is small enough that the walk stays a conversation rather than a broadcast.

How much does it cost?

€20.70 per person booked online, for ages 14 and up. Children aged 3 to 13 are €13.50 online, and children under 3 come free — no ticket needed. At the meeting point it is €23 per adult, paid there on your phone and subject to places being left. There are no entrance tickets to buy: the price you see is the whole cost.

Is this a free tour? Do I need to tip?

No, and no. You pay when you book and that is the whole cost. Your guide is paid by us before the tour starts, so there is no envelope at the end, and nothing is offered or sold to you along the way.

Can I book for tomorrow, or for today?

Yes. The tour runs every day, so outside the busiest weeks there is normally a place for the next afternoon and often for the same one. The calendar on this page shows live availability — if a date is selectable, there are places left on it.

Is there a minimum number of people?

No. A single booking is enough to start a departure, so you can book for just one person. Once a departure has its first booking, anyone else can join it.

Can I just turn up at the meeting point?

You can, at €23 per person, but only if places are left. Your guide will show you a code to book and pay on your phone there and then — we do not handle cash. Once the eight places are taken the group is closed, so booking ahead is both cheaper and the only way to be sure of a place.

How much walking is there?

Not as much as two hours suggests. The route is around two kilometres from start to finish — roughly 30 minutes of actual walking, spread across the whole tour, on flat ground with no stairs and no climbs. The rest of the time you are standing still, listening and looking. If you have specific mobility needs, write to us before booking and we will tell you honestly whether it works for you.

What if Plaza de España or María Luisa Park is closed?

Plaza de España and María Luisa Park are public spaces managed by the city. The square is occasionally closed off for concerts or private events, and the park closes when a wind alert is issued. It does not happen often, but when it does your guide reworks the last part of the route and the tour still lasts its full two hours. We will tell you at the meeting point if that is the case for your departure.

What is the cancellation policy, and what if it rains?

Fully refundable up to 24 hours before the tour; within the last 24 hours it is non-refundable. Seville rain is usually brief and the walk goes ahead with umbrellas, but if the forecast makes two hours outdoors genuinely unpleasant we contact you to move it or refund it.

Where is the meeting point?

The meeting point is the main entrance of the Archivo de Indias, between the Alcázar and the Cathedral — a single access door on the side facing Avenida de la Constitución.
