Good to know before booking

🪪

An ID or passport is needed for every participant

Alcázar tickets are nominative: each one carries the name of a single visitor, and the monument can ask for matching identification at the entrance. Have the document numbers to hand before you start the booking — you will need one per person, children included. How nominative tickets work.
🕘

Arrive 15 minutes before your entry time

Your entry is tied to a specific time slot set by the monument, and the group goes in together. Arriving a little early means a relaxed start instead of a rushed one.
🌿

You can stay inside after the guided tour

The guided visit lasts around 1 hour 30 minutes, but your ticket does not expire with it. Most visitors stay on afterwards to walk the gardens at their own pace.
👟

Comfortable shoes, and water in summer

The visit is almost entirely on foot, with uneven historic paving and long stretches outdoors in the gardens. Between June and September, bring water and something for the sun.

Your tour runs, whatever the group size

We never cancel a departure for lack of participants. Once your booking is confirmed, the visit goes ahead on the date and time you chose — even if you end up being the only ones.

Where is the meeting point?

The meeting point is at the main entrance of the Archivo de Indias (Monument located between the Alcázar and the Cathedral). The Archivo de Indias has a single interior access door, on the side facing the Avenida de la Constitución, next to the Jardines de la Lonja. We have attached a map so you can see exactly where you are.

Frequently asked questions

Are Royal Alcázar tickets included in the tour?

Yes. Your official Alcázar entry ticket is included in the price, along with the guided visit and a confirmed entry time. You do not need to buy anything separately.

Is the Cathedral or the Giralda included?

No. This tour covers the Royal Alcázar and its gardens only. If you also want to visit the Cathedral and climb the Giralda, our complete tour includes all three monuments in a single booking — or you can book the Cathedral and Giralda on their own.

How long does the guided tour last?

Around 1 hour and 30 minutes. After the guided part ends you can usually stay inside on your own for as long as you like, until the monument closes.

Can I stay inside the Alcázar after the guided tour?

Yes, in almost all cases. Your ticket remains valid after the guide finishes, so you can go back through the gardens, take photos or revisit the rooms you liked most.

Do I need to bring my passport or ID?

Yes. Alcázar tickets are nominative: each ticket carries the name of one participant, and the monument’s staff can ask for matching identification at the entrance. Bring the passport or ID used when booking. A photo on your phone is normally accepted.

Where does the tour start?

At the main entrance of the Archivo de Indias, on Avenida de la Constitución, between the Alcázar and the Cathedral. Your guide waits there before the start time.

What happens if I arrive late?

Alcázar entry is tied to a specific time slot, so the group cannot wait. If you are running late, contact us as soon as you can and we will do whatever is possible, but we cannot guarantee entry once the slot has passed.

Can children join the tour?

Yes. Children aged 3 to 13 have a reduced rate and infants under 3 pay a nominal amount. Everyone in the group needs their own named ticket, including children.

Can Alcázar tickets sell out?

Yes, and it happens often. The monument releases a limited number of tickets per time slot, and in high season the morning ones close several weeks ahead. If your travel dates are fixed, booking early is the safest option.

What is the cancellation policy?

Free cancellation with a 100% refund up to 7 days before the tour, and a 70% refund up to 24 hours before. Cancellations after that cannot be refunded, because the monument tickets are already issued in your name.
